The United Nations defines human rights: it\u2019s inherent rights in all human beings, regardless of their nationality, place of residence, gender, national origin, or customary origin, colour, religion, language, or any other situation. Human rights are internationally recognized and can be social, economic, cultural, political and civil. The specialty of human rights is the most common discipline today, and we have designed this program to understand and explore the meaning of human rights, and their importance in changing societies, where this understanding and awareness plays the main role in dealing with the issues and problems of society.<\/p>\n

Courses required in this program:<\/p>\n

The first theme: international human rights law: law can be a means of achieving change and promoting human rights, students will be provided with an understanding of human rights law and means of protecting these rights (as they are found in international, regional and national processes).<\/p>\n

-General principles of international human rights law<\/p>\n

-General theory of international humanitarian law<\/p>\n

-International legitimacy of human rights<\/p>\n

-Contemporary international issues<\/p>\n

-International refugee law<\/p>\n

2- The second axis: it will be about the global sources of human rights, which are universal conventions of origin and we will deal with this axis:<\/p>\n

-UN Charter<\/p>\n

-Ratified UN treaties<\/p>\n

-UN human rights mechanisms International Charter of Human Rights<\/p>\n

-Actions and legal documents issued by the United<\/p>\n

-Nations (Declarations, agreements, decisions)<\/p>\n

-International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights<\/p>\n

The third focus will be on the concept of international protection of human rights and the obstacles it faces. We will address this theme:<\/p>\n

-The development and importance of international protection<\/p>\n
